So, hi there, I’m Ina, your lovely neighbourhood Virtual Assistant and food lover 😊.
And as always, on the last Sunday of the month, everything is about the Uddingston Food Market.
And today has been an absolute cracker of a day. The sun🌞 splitting the skies made the traders rejoice. And the people of Lanarkshire and surrounding areas where out in force…we even spotted some visitors from West Lothian!
I might have gone slightly overboard today, but who can blame a girl…. the choices were stunning as always. After doing my first round to check out today’s offerings and warming up with a lovely hot chocolate from Flat Flat White it was time to get down to business.
First stop (as always) the ever so amazing Brawsome Bagels. If you haven’t tried their “Everything” bagel, you are truly missing out. And don’t get me started on the “Pretzel”!
And you know what, they go reeaaaallly well with a Oui Knob of Butter. Trust me!!!
Of course I could not leave without stopping at Paws aff and getting some liver snackies for Merlyn….she would have never forgiven me otherwise!
Juno General store always surprises me with their new flavours. Today’s stroke of genius was their Christmas Ketchup, which will go lovely with….well…everything! Need to stock up on their pickles before Christmas!
Rice n Spicy are not only bringing some amazing Punjabi flavours, but also have an amazing selection of cheeses through their sister company The Cheese Stop. I’m pretty sure I’ve spotted the first Christmas themed cheeses (there…I said the C word!).
Savouries covered, now it’s time for dessert (have I mentioned that I went a bit overboard today😂?)
Then on to Cannoli get better. They brought a new flavour today…Lotus Biscoff. And of course, I got the classic Pistachio as well. Hubby loves them!
It’s been a while since I had a Chulo’s cookie and I was under strict instructions to bring one home. And who am I to say no?!?!
After stopping to cuddle ALLLLL the puppies, I spotted that my lovely pal at Uber bars had a new flavour with her, so toddled over for a chat and a top up of my mid-week snacks. They are amazing if you need a healthy pick-me-up!

Final two stops today were Cadzow Bakehouse…because you cannot leave the market without one of their cinnamon buns!
And the very charming (and occasionally dancing) Beardies Bakewell. If you like brownies, blondies and anything related…..he is your man! I cannot wait to try their newest creation!
After all that shopping it was time to enjoy brunch and which better way to do that, than with The Pizza Pie Guy – and then sitting down, chatting with my friends and soaking up some winter sunshine (and cuddling more dogs).
And last but not least the first visit of the amazing Panther Milk to the market today.
Their creation will definitely be a highlight during the Christmas period. And they had the prime spot in the middle of the market!
Well this concludes my purchases for today….I know I haven’t stopped everywhere today, but there is only so much I can eat in a week 😂.
And I promise, that next time I will stop by some of the other amazing traders!
